The Vermont Yankee power plant, owned by Entergy, located on the Connecticut River near Brattleboro, went on line in 1972. The single reactor produces 620 megawatts, enough for 500,000 homes, 80% of the electricity produced in Vermont.

Isabel and I met at Save The Corporations (from themselves) and found a quiet little dirt road alongside the river with a perfect view. The t-shirt is by Yawn Mower in Huntington, CT.

Postscript... on Tuesday April 17th, 2007, the Brattleboro Reformer put Isabel and our campaign on the cover of their newspaper! All good things come to those who wait...

Postscript 2... in August I discovered Isabel followed it up with a radio interview... where she shines, as usual! She has it bloged on her MySpace page under "radio interview oooh."

You can see more pictures from that faithful day and a video interview with Isabel at magazine.
